FUTURE PROCUREMENT OPPORTUNITY – CCDHB LED Lighting Upgrade

CCDHB Assets & Infrastructure is planning to advertise the upgrading of CCDHB light fittings to LED type fittings.  This will include WRH, Kenepuru Hospital and the Kapiti Medical Centre.
The exact LED lighting specification will vary depending on where it is installed.
The installation, including the seismic restraints and commissioning will be completed by a supplier that will be appointed via a Registration of Interest (ROI) and Request for Proposal or Price (RFP) process on GETS.

Maintenance and Renewal of Streetlighting 2021-24 (Contract No. 8001_002)

This contract is for routine and emergency maintenance and renewal of streetlighting on the Hauraki District Council’s roading network. It also includes maintenance of New Zealand Transport Agency urban streetlighting assets located within the 50 to 70 km/hr speed zones, including pedestrian crossings.
The contract includes:

  • Providing cost effective streetlighting and associated facilities maintenance within the network.
  • Providing appropriate resources to respond to incidents (crashes, initial response to storm damage etc) that may occur within the network.

Note to contractors – Matamata-Piako District Council and Hauraki District Council tender documents are very similar but there are some differences. Please ensure you read the documents carefully before uploading your tender submission to GETS.

Street Light Maintenance & Renewal

This Tender is for the Street Light Maintenance & Renewal. The Street light is located in Waipa District.
The upgrade work for the project includes but is not limited to, the following:
General

  • Preparation and implementation of a Quality Plan, and a Health and Safety Plan;
  • Traffic management plan;
  • Preparation and regular updates of a Construction Programme;
  • Attendance at regular site meetings (hosted by the Contractor);
  • Ongoing construction management and liaison throughout the contract;
  • Obtaining all notices and permits required to complete all works;
  • Tidy site on completion of the works;
  • Maintenance of access, construction site;
  • Compliance with resource consent conditions; and
  • Incidental works as required.

The site specific work for the project includes but is not limited to:

  • Maintenance of existing street lights, lamps and poles;
  • Maintenance of amenity lighting;
  • Implementation of LED lighting;
  • Incident response and other works;
  • Undertake routine maintenance inspections to identify streetlight faults, arrange with power supply companies to have lights switched on for fault identification;
  • Survey lights and update the RAMM database streetlight inventory, and maintain the database;
  • Provide an afterhour’s emergency response service, in order to make safe or reopen roads obstructed by damaged streetlights or electrical wiring associated with streetlights; and
  • Attending to the Network during storm events where the streetlights are affected.

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST – Cook Islands Renewable Energy Sector Project, Operations and Maintenance Contract

Procurement will be by individual consultant sourcing (ICS). Applicants should provide a CV showing relevant experience against the selection criteria. Applicants should also clearly indicate their available in country time, including any limitations. Expectation is for at least 80% of time on the assignment to be in Country.

  1. Reliability engineer and data analyst (6 months – intermittent)
    An experienced asset manager/data analyst with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related area of study, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Requires a minimum of five years of related experience including electric utility asset management principles, engineering, and a working knowledge of hybrid power system operation and maintenance.
  2. 2 x Renewable Energy Site Operation Experts (9 months – full time)
    Two renewable energy site operation experts with an electrical qualification and license to operate. The experts should have a degree or diploma in engineering or other relevant field, and at least 10 years of experience in power station installation and / or operations and maintenance, preferably of hybrid island power systems incorporating solar photovoltaics (PV). Experience with equipment used in the projects is preferred. Ability to communicate in the local language (Cook Islands Maori) highly valued.

ADVANCE NOTICE FOR OPPORTUNITY – Auckland DHB (Auckland City Hospital) 11kV Secondary Switchgear and HV/LV Transformers

Auckland DHB (Auckland City Hospital) – HV (11kV) Equipment for Substation C,D,H & R Upgrade Project – refer attachment.
The purpose of this procurement will be to purchase the following HV (11kV) equipment for the Auckland DHB (Auckland City Hospital) C,D,H & R substation upgrade project, with the equipment being free-issued to electrical contractors for installation and commissioning;

  1. HV secondary switchgear for Subs C and D; 18 panels required which will be tendered via GETS.
  2. HV/LV transformers for Subs C, D, H and R; 8 required which will also be tendered via GETS.

Some further details are as follows;

  • HV secondary switchgear is to be 630A rated. The switchgear will be installed in IL4 rated buildings, and, as such, must meet the seismic requirements of a physical shake table test in accordance with either IEE693 or IEC62271-210.
  • 11kV/400v transformers are to be dry-type, with the following ratings;
o 4 x 1MVA
o 2 x 1.25MVA
o 2 x 1.5MVA
Equipment will be required to be delivered to site by first quarter of 2022.
Details of further opportunities for procurement of similar equipment for other ADHB projects will be released in due course.
It is intended that the tender (Request for Proposal), including full technical specifications, will be issued by mid-May 2021.
