Previous CEP Conferences
CEP Conference 2025
The need to address climate change has never been greater. As we continue to head towards critical dates such as 2030 and 2050, it seems the actions we’ll need to take to curb warming are becoming more pronounced as well as more urgent. Almost every day, we see examples of the impact of warming temperatures from around the world, whether it be rising sea levels, melting ice, droughts, floods or hurricanes. Of course, New Zealand is not immune, as we have seen.
CEP Conference 2024
The coolest place to be at the end of May 2024 will be the Christchurch Town Hall. That’s when the experts, influencers and decision makers that will commission, design and deliver the projects that will take us to our 2030 and 2050 targets will be gathering in one place at the same time. It’s the best opportunity of the year to come together, exchange ideas and learn from each other, all in a relaxed and cool environment.
CEP Conference 2023
The 2023 conference looked to foster resilience into Aotearoa. As well as bringing the best international ideas, innovations and speakers to the conference we challenged ourselves to shift behaviours and decision making to create a more sustainable world, by challenging our behaviours and decisions to deliver a thriving, low carbon Aotearoa.
CEP Conference 2022
2022 was the year we gave it some jandal on accelerating decarbonisation. Rotorua was the place and picking up the pace is the theme. 2022 saw New Zealand with high COVID vaccination rates, freedoms to move about, a real appetite to get back to business after the enormous disruption of the last couple of years and, most importantly, a priority focus on decarbonising.
CEP Conference 2021
Our theme Regenerating New Zealand was selected deliberately for its different nuances, whether active in the areas of renewable generation, business development, energy efficiency, decarbonisation, sustainability or economic growth, attendees were offered an opportunity to build new or re-kindle previous business relationships.
CEP Conference 2020
The easiest, most cost effective and judicious next step in achieving lower emissions is to learn what can be done and how to do it. That’s what the CEP conference is for and the 2020 programme will be focused on enabling delegates move their organisations to lower emissions.
EMANZ Conference 2019
Our 2019 Conference themed “Shaping Our Low Emissions Future” will look at the practicalities of how New Zealand could transition to a low emissions economy. This includes how businesses engage with staff, suppliers and customers to change behaviours, how organisations can develop strategies and plans to reduce emissions and the role our members will play in making the shift.
EMANZ Conference 2018
It is clear that moving towards a low emissions economy will be a Government priority. Our theme this year “Energising a low emissions economy” reflects this increased emphasis on emissions and climate change, and extends our understanding of how energy efficiency and productivity can be at the forefront of driving this transition.
EMANZ Conference 2017
The 2017 conference theme is “Disruptive Innovation” and brings the newest and freshest innovations in products and services to delegates, to ensure they are in the best position to lead New Zealand into a new era of energy efficiency and carbon management.
EMANZ Conference 2016
The 2016 EMANZ conference theme ‘Energy Productivity and Partnerships – The Next Energy (R)evolution’ explored energy productivity at a macro and micro level with experts from throughout the productivity and energy sectors.
