Self-directed training to support professional development for carbon and energy professionals

CEP provides numerous opportunities for asynchronous learning, allowing you the flexibility to learn at your own pace, when and where it suits. We are in the process of rolling out a portfolio of 20 self-directed training modules. You can take as many or as few as you choose. In certain combinations these modules will also prepare you for our professional level certifications, which are supported by digital badges. These badges allow clients or employers to verify your credential with a single mouse-click.

Help us help you

We’re pleased to introduce Shaping Excellence, our programme of self-directed training modules. As a participant, you’ll receive significantly discounted access in exchange for providing structured feedback that helps us refine our content, delivery and learning outcomes.

This is very much a “help us to help you” initiative, designed to ensure our professional credentials continue to meet high standards and deliver real value in the workplace.

How it works

We’re making 20 units of each of the nine modules available at a special rate of $200 + GST — a discount of 60–77%, depending on the module and CEP member status.

In return, participants commit to:

Completing their module(s) within three months.
Providing feedback after each lesson and a final summary upon completion.
Joining a feedback focus group in the second quarter of 2026.
