Day one of CEP’s Conference

Our CEP conference opened with a Mihi Whakatau from Dave Brennan and welcome from Mayor Philip Mauger, Mayor of Christchurch, followed by the first keynote speaker Brian Motherway, Head of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Inclusive Transitions with International Energy Agency (IEA).

There was compelling range of presentations throughout the day including the Infrastructure Panel with panellists Tim Sparks (Director, Network Pricing at Electrical Authority), Nigel Barbour (Group Chief Executive Officer at Orion NZ Ltd), Andrew Green (Associate Director Data Centre Business at Datacom) and Michael Jefferson (Director, Head of Development – Australia and New Zealand at Enel X).

CEP Conference 2024

The coolest place to be at the end of May 2024 will be the Christchurch Town Hall. That’s when the experts, influencers and decision makers that will commission, design and deliver the projects that will take us to our 2030 and 2050 targets will be gathering in one place at the same time. CEP Conference 2022

2022 was the year we gave it some jandal on accelerating decarbonisation. Rotorua was the place and picking up the pace is the theme. 2022 saw New Zealand with high COVID vaccination rates, freedoms to move about, a real appetite to get back to business after the enormous disruption of the last couple of years and, most importantly, a priority focus on decarbonising.

CEP Conference 2020

The easiest, most cost effective and judicious next step in achieving lower emissions is to learn what can be done and how to do it. That’s what the CEP conference is for and the 2020 programme will be focused on enabling delegates move their organisations to lower emissions.

CEP Conference 2023

The 2023 conference looked to foster resilience into Aotearoa. As well as bringing the best international ideas, innovations and speakers to the conference we challenged ourselves to shift behaviours and decision making to create a more sustainable world, by challenging our behaviours and decisions to deliver a thriving, low carbon Aotearoa.
