Energy Auditor Training Course (AS/NZS 3598:2014)

Who should attend?

This course is designed for professionals with prior experience in energy auditing or related fields who want to strengthen their technical capability and practical delivery skills.

Recommended prior knowledge

You’ll get the most value from this course if you have:

  • A working knowledge of energy, thermodynamics and basic physics
  • Familiarity with electrical systems (circuits, power factor)
  • Understanding of energy systems (e.g. HVAC, lighting) and heat transfer
  • Awareness of sustainability principles and energy impacts
  • Basic financial analysis skills (e.g. cost–benefit, payback periods)
  • Experience using technical tools, diagrams and spreadsheet analysis

Recommended preparation

To maximise your learning, we recommend access to the AS/NZS 3598:2014 Energy Audits standard:

  • Part 1: Commercial Buildings (people-driven)
  • Part 2: Industrial and related activities (process-driven)
  • Part 3: Transport-related activities (vehicle-driven)
