The Role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Laboratory Technician to join our Laboratory team in Gisborne.

You will carry out the testing of engineering materials in the laboratory and field in accordance with the laboratory management system (based on ISO/IEC 17025).

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Conduct routine testing of materials both in the laboratory and field.
  • Undertake site investigations in a safe and expeditious manner.
  • Calibrate and maintain equipment.
  • Carry out projects/tasks as assigned with responsibility for technical content, results and timeliness.
  • Assist with the development of junior / assistant technicians.

About You

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in civil engineering is beneficial
  • Preferably have a minimum of 2 year’s relevant professional experience in a civil engineering laboratory

This position is full-time, 40 hours, and five days per week. The remuneration range for this position is $60,000 – $70,000, depending on experience.
