The Role:
We have an exciting Environmental Planner position in our New Plymouth business, where part of your role will be to work within the Mt Messenger Alliance providing specialist environmental planning and compliance services and advice to help deliver the Te Ara o Te Ata: Mt Messenger Bypass project.
In this role you will develop excellent working relationships with key members of the Alliance team (design, construction, and technical services) to ensure accurate and up to date information is conveyed through your planner deliverables.
When not required on the Mt Messenger Alliance you will assist with WSP projects in Taranaki and nationally.
The Te Ara o Te Ata: Mt Messenger Bypass is a critical project in the Taranaki region and you’ll be working with a passionate and collaborative team; this is a fantastic opportunity to hone your planning skills.
About You:
- A tertiary qualification in planning/resource management or related discipline (i.e. environmental science) is essential
- A member of the NZPI, EIANZ or similar is desirable
- Current, clean, full NZ Drivers Licence
- Ideally a minimum of 5 years professional experience in planning/resource management or related discipline
- Experience in professional report writing is essential
- Experience in engineering/infrastructure/development fields would be beneficial
- Has an awareness and appreciation of tikanga Māori
