Our new Fuel Switching self-directed training module is available now.

This 3-hour online module explores how to decarbonise systems and processes by changing the fuel or energy source for example, converting a coal boiler to an electric or biomass boiler. It looks at opportunities across key sectors of the New Zealand economy, including buildings, industry, process heat as well as transport and highlights emerging technologies and case studies.

Whether you’re working towards becoming a Certified Professional in Energy or Carbon, or simply want to expand your knowledge, this module offers valuable insights into the role of fuel switching in New Zealand’s low-carbon transition.

CEP Conference 2022

2022 was the year we gave it some jandal on accelerating decarbonisation. Rotorua was the place and picking up the pace is the theme. 2022 saw New Zealand with high COVID vaccination rates, freedoms to move about, a real appetite to get back to business after the enormous disruption of the last couple of years and, most importantly, a priority focus on decarbonising.

CEP Conference 2025

The need to address climate change has never been greater. As we continue to head towards critical dates such as 2030 and 2050, it seems the actions we’ll need to take to curb warming are becoming more pronounced as well as more urgent. Almost every day, we see examples of the impact of warming temperatures from around the world, whether it be rising sea levels, melting ice, droughts, floods or hurricanes. Of course, New Zealand is not immune, as we have seen.

As well as bringing the best international ideas, innovations and speakers to the conference we challenged ourselves to shift behaviours and decision making to create a more sustainable world, by challenging our behaviours and decisions to deliver a thriving, low carbon Aotearoa.
