Overview

This course trains professionals to audit greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories in alignment with ISO 14064-3:2019. It covers the full audit lifecycle—from planning to reporting—focusing on techniques to independently verify GHG emissions data.

Course Content

Covers full audit lifecycle for organisational GHG inventories, aligned with ISO14064‑3:2019, including:

  • Audit planning and team selection
  • Preparing for audits
  • Audit techniques and fieldwork
  • Assessing review levels
  • Drafting audit reports and opinions

It blends theory and hands-on practice to help participants verify emissions transparently and effectively.

Who Should Attend

  • Carbon professionals familiar with ISO14064‑1
  • Pre‑requisite: CEP’s “Preparing a GHG Inventory” course or equivalent knowledge

Outcomes

  • Reinforces how independent verification supports credible emissions reporting and mitigates greenwashing risk
  • Practical mastery of ISO 14064‑3:2019 audit requirements
