About the Role
This is a high-impact, hands-on role combining sustainability leadership with strong data and operational capability.
You will lead CarbonEES® sustainability and carbon initiatives while using data and analysis to inform decision-making, measure impact, and drive continuous improvement for clients and internal operations.
The role is suited to someone who can turn sustainability ambition, complex datasets, and operational insights into practical, measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Sustainability Leadership:
- Lead and evolve CarbonEES®’ sustainability and carbon reduction strategies for clients and internal operations
- Provide expert guidance on carbon accounting, emissions reduction, and sustainability certification outcomes
- Support clients in measuring, reporting, and improving environmental performance
- Build organisational and client capability, making sustainability actionable and measurable
Data & Analytics:
- Analyse diverse datasets, including environmental, operational, survey, or project data
- Develop analytical models, dashboards, and reports to support decision-making
- Translate complex data into clear, decision-ready insights for clients and internal teams
- Maintain high-quality programming practices, documentation, and version control
- Review and validate analytical approaches to ensure data integrity
- Work with our lead software developer to enhance our in-house e-Bench® data reporting tool.
Planning & Operations:
- Support procurement and project operations by planning and managing workflows, including purchase orders where relevant
- Monitor project resources and operational efficiency, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
- Build and maintain advanced e-Bench® tools for data analysis and reporting
- Prepare client-ready reports and presentations using e-Bench®, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant platforms
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
- Proven experience in sustainability, carbon management, or environmental reporting
- Strong analytical skills and statistical thinking.
- Experience translating sustainability strategy and complex data into actionable outcomes
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across client and internal projects
Experience / Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., environmental science, data science, sustainability, or related field)
Highly Desirable:
- Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions auditing experience
- Experience with carbon accounting tools, and sustainability reporting platforms
- Exposure to procurement, supply chain, or ERP/MRP systems
- Experience producing high-quality analytical reports or contributing to client-facing publications
