About the role:
As an Energy Market Consultant you will be delivering high quality advice and services to Wholesale Energy Market clients based on state-of-the-art wholesale Market analytics and forecast modelling tools.

Key responsibilities of the role include;

• Using your significant understanding of the wholesale electricity & energy-related markets to deliver incisive information and advice to clients
• Undertake and support the production and delivery of regular and bespoke publications, reports and related services
• Undertake and support analytical, consulting, training and advisory services for clients
• Track wholesale electricity & related market trends, prices, and supply/demand dynamics to identify risks and opportunities.

About the successful candidate:
This position calls for strong detailed-orientated analytical ability, high-level communication skills and a clear client-driven focus.

Ideally you will:

• Be self-motivated, and able to balance and prioritise the demands of a dynamic range of client and inhouse requirements.
• Bring deep knowledge of the New Zealand electricity and gas wholesale markets specifically, but also NZ’s wider energy context including electricity and gas retail, hedge, carbon and relevant international energy markets and their regulatory frameworks
• Demonstrate some experience in modelling, forecasting, data analysis & client consultancy

While Energy Link is based in Dunedin, an option to work out of Nelson is also possible. Remote / hybrid work could also be available for the right qualified person, but this would require periodic travel to Dunedin and/or Nelson.
