Sam is the Director of Roose Consulting. He has had 20+ years’ experience in improving the energy efficiency of buildings, both operating and designed, and also worked in London as an energy modeller for 4 years. He has been a CEP accredited energy auditor since 2007, and was the first Continuous Commissioning Specialist accredited through CEP in 2015.  He is also a NABERSNZ Assessor. Sam obtained a Bachelor of Building Science (Honours) from Victoria University in 2003.

He has worked with a variety of facility types, from state-of-the-art residences to large scale campuses and industrial sites, and a variety of climates. Sam has conducted projects at many project stages from conceptual design through to auditing and continuous commissioning.

Sam specialises in detailed energy audits (having led 100+), design audits, feasibility studies, building management system analysis and hour by hour computer simulations. His consultancy experience expands across many other energy applications.
