Alelign (known as Alex) is a Senior Energy Engineer at Lumen (formerly known as Enercon) – an energy management and engineering consultancy for commercial, institutional and industrial clients. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Canterbury and has had 6 years’ experience in energy related consulting predominantly on industrial process heat systems: boiler systems, steam systems, hot water systems.

He is a CEP accredited Energy Master Auditor and Energy Master Process Heat Specialist and has worked on a range of projects including system design, feasibility studies, energy auditing, system reviews, and implementation of energy efficiency initiatives for several types of facilities including food processing plants, commercial facilities, concrete curing plants, and sheepskin processing plants throughout New Zealand.

Alelign specialises in industrial,  commercial and institutional energy audits,  energy management,  energy systems optimisation,  process heat systems design and design reviews.
