CEP Certification element prices
CEP Certification candidates must satisfy three elements to achieve CEP Certification:
- An online exam
- An Experience Assessment
- CEP Scheme Membership
Element prices are listed in NZD and are per attempt. CEP revises fees annually.

Online exam fees
We can include some general information about online exams.
- All online certification exam fees are $200+GST
Experience Assessment application fees
If possible we can include some general information about experience assessments.
- Certified Carbon Auditor: $2,500+GST
- Certified Energy Auditor: $1,100+GST
- Certified Process Heat Emissions Plan Reviewer (PHEPR): $1,100+GST
Certification Scheme fee
Participants in CEP’s Certification Scheme pay an annual scheme fee, payable on joining and annually thereafter. The scheme fee may be applied pro rata if required.
The scheme fee applies per person and not per certification, i.e. a person can hold any number of CEP Certifications but will only pay one scheme fee per year.
The scheme fee contributes to the costs of administering the scheme, which includes the provision of verifiable digital badges to qualifying participants.
