Yvonne has worked in utilities management both internationally and locally for more years than she would like to admit to. She believes strongly in sustainability and leaving a smaller footprint on the planet. Yvonne is an independent consultant based in Christchurch. Yvonne joined the Board in May 2017 and was appointed Chair in June 2018.
Lee is the Sustainability Framework Manager at Defence Estate and Infrastructure. She was formerly a sustainable building scientist with BRANZ and has a PhD in Building Science from Victoria University of Wellington. Lee was appointed to the Board in May 2019 and appointed Vice Chair in June 2019.
As Genesis’ GM Corporate Relations, Emma-Kate is a passionate advocate for the role of the energy sector in New Zealand’s transition to a low emissions economy. In her role she is responsible for sustainability across the Genesis business as well as corporate communications, community investment, public relations and internal communications. She has more than 15 years’ experience in communications and corporate affairs in companies including Telecom, Ernst and Young, Porter Novelli and most recently TVNZ.
Tania is the Energy Manager Sustainability Solutions at Total Utilities Management Group Ltd. She is an Electrical Engineer with a Masters in Finances. With a background in project management, large-scale solar and wind generation projects, energy consulting and analytics she builds strong relationships with clients and creates bespoke energy solutions that meet their unique requirements. Tania joined the EMANZ Board on May 2019.
Mark has been in the energy services industry for more than 20 years, predominantly in consultancy roles. He has worked across many sectors, including industrial processes, commercial buildings and the public sector. Mark is a Senior Optimisation Engineer with Deta Consulting based in Christchurch. Mark joined the Board in May 2018.
Tim is the Retail Manager for Pioneer Energy with responsibilities for managing the relationships for their thermal and electrical clients with a strong team behind him for delivery. He has worked in the Energy industry for nearly 20 years working across procurement, consultancy, brokerage and infrastructure development. Currently Pioneer are assisting industrial clients to transition from Coal to Biomass for their thermal energy needs. Additionally they he is working with clients on the development and operation of “Waste to Energy” projects Tim joined the board in May 2018
Noel has been involved in the electricity industry for over 35 years and has extensive experience in lighting, power conditioning, motors and drives and energy auditing. Noel has operated his own engineering consultancy since 1994, has been an EMANZ Member for over fifteen years and has been on the Board for the last ten.
Kevin is the Director of Power Solutions Ltd, a company that has been providing energy management services for almost 25 years and specialises in electrical engineering design, street lighting design and network management. He advises extensively to the public sector Kevin joined the Board in May 2016
Scott has been involved in the commercial building services Industry for over 25 years, with roles in project engineering, project management, contract management, facilities management and business management. Scott joined the Board in May 2011 and is a former Chair.
Frans is the founder of ECOsystems, a company specialising in integrated energy efficiency projects with offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, which was sold to Pioneer Energy in 2016. He has since founded ecoNEW Limited, offering services in energy management, business consulting and continuous improvement.
Sam was involved in the energy industry in New Zealand for nine years, after having completed a Master's degree in electrical engineering in London and Paris. He has a solid technical and commercial grounding in a wide variety of areas including retail pricing, demand response, metering technology and energy efficiency. Now resident in Australia and active in renewables, he maintains a keen interest in CEP and its governance. Sam joined the Board in May 2017.
